The Newby Foundation

Newby staff will always be mindful of the gifts, interests and talents of children in their class and will make modifications to the curriculum to reflect these attributes in school activities.

There will occasionally be exceptional cases where individual children have needs that are beyond the scope of the school curriculum. ln these cases, staff will make recommendations to the Head teacher as to how this interest, gift or talent could be further developed. The Newby Foundation seeks to provide the funds to turn these ideas into reality.

Plans will be presented to Governors at their half-termly meetings and a decision taken as to how best to support each case.
The Head teacher will meet with parents to discuss the proposals and put in place administration to support the activity.
