We see homework as an important aspect of our partnership and hope you can offer your support. It is our policy to contact you on every occasion that your child does not complete homework well or on time, whether this is homework that is a written task, a learning task, or reading. If we feel that there is a particular issue, we will invite you into school to meet the Head and/or Deputy. At this meeting, we will explain our policy to you and will offer support to your family.

Homework for Nursery and Reception children
This should take the form of children looking at, reading and discussing books with parents. Books are sent home on Thursday and are to be returned by Tuesday of the following week. Parents are encouraged to read with their children every day, even when school books are not at home.
Oral Tasks (set regularly, as appropriate)
In order to stimulate children’s development in a range of areas, a variety of tasks will be set. These will be set orally and will be passed on to those collecting children from the Nursery. The tasks will be wide-ranging such as learning names for things, finding out something from home, discussing a topic at home, learning colours and shapes etc.
