Welcome to Newby

On behalf of all the staff and pupils can I wish you a warm welcome to Newby. We are very proud of our school and its achievements and happy to welcome visitors and prospective parents to see the school at work.

New parents often report that Newby provides a rich, exciting programme of learning. Our curriculum certainly gives Newby its own distinct identity and ethos that reflects the very special, vibrant, West Bowling community.

The Newby name now covers much more than a school. The Community Centre provides a wide range of activities for local people including education, life-style and general interest courses. The Multi Use Games Area is an excellent meeting place for the young and active and the Sports and Arts Centre one of the most up-to-date venues in the city for all ages, from all sections of the local community, to meet, compete and explore.

Our ambition is to offer every child the chance to achieve their full potential and to do this in partnership with parents and wider community. By doing this, the school will aim to achieve high standards for all, providing foundations for future learning, and for success in life.
